About me

Hi, I’m Zach! I started Lake Effect Fundraising because I love this work. I’ve spent my career in fundraising and nonprofit advancement writing grants, building donor relationships, and creating systems that help small teams succeed. After seeing how much incredible work is being done by organizations with limited time, staff, and resources, I wanted to do something to support them.

Over the years, I’ve written hundreds of grant applications and reports. I’ve managed social media, designed annual reports, written donor newsletters and appeal letters, and administered fundraising databases.
